I’m Selina, but, in the non-binary tradition, I’m experimenting with a singular letter, “S.” I’m originally from Buffalo, NY, but I escaped to New York City 11 years ago. I hold degrees from Fashion Institute of Technology (A.A.S.), CUNY Hunter College (B.A.), and am currently enrolled at Emerson College (M.A.).
Instead of asking someone what they do for work, I prefer to ask “How do you spend your time?” I spend my time creating. Whether it is a pitch deck for my 30th birthday destination, or Halloween costumes for my cats, I’m always crafting something. I gravitate toward costuming because of its transmutative properties. Every garment is a statement. Through sewing, I write my story.
I aspire to be a bog witch who stirs legend and unease. Before I retire to the woods (under mysterious circumstances) with my partner and cats, I have unfinished business (literally). I want my career to uplift communities, solve problems, and actualize a better future.
Whatever the project, shoot me an email, and let’s discuss what we can create together. If it’s beyond my own powers, I probably know somebody who can help.
I am currently studying Business of Creative Enterprises at Emerson College.
At the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), I earned an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Advertising and Marketing Communications. At CUNY Hunter College I earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Film Studies.
